March 27th: A new date has been added in August!  August 19th has the same breeds as August 5th. 

Settlers Supplies is taking orders for chickens, turkeys and pheasants for 2025. Please see below for details on dates, breeds and how to order. As always, let us know if you have any questions and we are happy to help!

Ordering:

Check the sold out information at the bottom of this page. 
Deposit information 2025: A deposit of 25% of the total sale is required to secure your order at the time of booking. If you cancel or change your order after the deadline, you will forfeit your deposit. For example, the deadline to change or cancel your order is the Wednesday prior to the delivery date (Tuesday).  For example, if your order is placed for Tuesday May 7th pickup, the last date to change or cancel your order is Wednesday May 1. If you cancel on Friday May 3rd, you will loose your 25% deposit because it is after the cancellation date. 

Settlers Supplies Change/Cancellation Policy: The hatchery has to plan out the live birds carefully. We ask that you provide as much notice as possible if your plans change. You can change or cancel your order up until 6 days prior to the delivery date. If you cancel your order before the 6 day prior, you can get a full refund of your deposit. Changes or cancellations made after the cut off period will result in loss of deposit. Sorry, no exceptions. 

If you don't pickup your birds on the date of delivery or notify us that you cannot come before 5:30, your birds will be sold to another customer, and you will lose your deposit. 

To Place Your Order: 

Please email, call or come into the store to place your order. Have the date, type of birds, quantities known in advance. Once the order is placed, you will get an email confirmation. Please check your email confirmation to make sure we have the correct date, types and quantities.  A few days prior to pickup, you will receive a reminder email. You will receive the Form 300 by email. You will need this form if you choose to process your birds. 

Limits: There is a 300 bird limit for broiler birds, per year, per customer. 
There is a 100 bird limit for layer birds, per year, per customer. There is a 50 bird limit for turkeys. 

Crates: Are available for purchase $75 each, like-new condition.

  • Please note that each order has a $9.00 fee attached to the order. 
  • Small order charges: $8 for less than 10 birds of either type (Day Old and Ready-to-Lay), for example if you get 10 day old birds and only 5 Ready to Lay birds, you are still charged an $8 small order fee, and vice versa). 
  • Minimums: 5 birds for day old birds. 2 birds for Ready to Lay. 
  • Discounts for bulk orders - see price sheets for bulk orders of birds.

Other Information

Ready-to-Lays are available on a first-order, first-serve basis. Order EARLY to avoid disappointment - especially for the special breeds.

Hatching Eggs

Hatching eggs are available to order for chicken days. They are $20 per dozen. 

Available breeds are : Leghorn, Red Sex Link, Black Sex Link, Rhodebar, Columbian Rock, Rhode Island Red, Barred Plymouth Rock

FREY'S SPECIAL DUAL PURPOSE (roosters are good for meat and hens good for laying), IRONA, SIVLER, SCARLET, IVORY, RUSTIC RANGER.

Easily sexable breeds are: RSL, BSL, DUAL PURPOSE
